Here is what I’ll be whipping up in my kitchen for dinner this week!
Monday: Sloppy Joes – Even though the canned sauce to make these sandwiches is easy, I like to try different sauce recipes for it. This time around, I’m trying Martha’s recipe. So, it should be good, right?
Tuesday: Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll-Ups – These seem so simple to make and may be a hit for the kids. I think a salad, some fruit and some kind of vegetable will make a nice sidekick with it.
Wednesday: Dinner at church!!
Thursday: Manicotti Pancakes – Whenever I use the store-bought manicotti shells, they always break on me. So, I’m going to try homemade ones and see if I can conquer without it breaking!
Friday: One-Pot Chicken and Brown Rice – I am all about meals in a pot! Getting my taste buds ready for another Martha dish!
My guess is that the princess and 3 jesters are going to like 3 out of the 5 meals this week. Its a battle almost every night with my sweet, cherub, picky eaters!
When I used to live with Maria, having a meal plan every week was fantastic. It was really easy to shop for it, and a lot of the dishes she made, worked great as leftovers and made up some interesting new dishes.
Once I am back on my feet, I will adopt her style and plan ahead every week as well.
