Pizza & Container Review & Giveaway

My family loves pizza! It’s a staple in our house. And while attending Blissdom a few months ago, one of the sponsors was Freschetta. They threw a pizza party, and had a variety of their pizzas for us to indulge in. Loved it from the first bite! I see where they get their name, because it does taste fresh. Everything from the crust, to the sauce, the vegetables, the cheese, the meat…..are you hungry yet? Are you ready to have a slice yourself?

Now is your chance to win a FREE Pizza By The Slice!  Along with the free pizza, Freschetta is also allowing me to give away a real nice 3 piece container set, that can be used for your leftover pizza, other foods, storage, whatever you can find a use for it. I like the containers, because they are sturdy and the lids are easy to pop on and off.

I know you will love their pizza, there are many kinds for you to enjoy! BBQ Recipe Chicken, Vegetable Medley, Six Cheese Medley, Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom. We tried the BBQ Chicken, and it had that tasty, tender, saucy taste to it! Delicious!

So, if you would like to win FREE Pizza By The Slice and a super nice FREE 3 piece container set, then all you need to do is;

Leave me a comment telling me your favorite kind of pizza!

You have until Wednesday April 27 10:00 p.m CST.

It’s as simple as that! Please check out their website to see other types of pizza and specials they have to offer!

The Oak Inside the Acorn {Giveaway}

The Oak Inside the Acorn [Book]

I really enjoy Max Lucado’s books. Especially his children’s books that he writes. He always has great examples and advice for children to live by. In this particular book, The Oak Inside the Acorn, Max explains how a tiny acorn will grow bigger and stronger, the way that God has made him to be.

The acorn at first is afraid to grow bigger. But, his mama; the big oak tree, assures him that he should not be afraid and inside of him is a great oak. Max has written this to also have faith in God. To be strong and trust in Him on how He has made you to be.

It really is a cute, good, understandable story for children. If you want to find out what happens to the little acorn, to follow along his journey on becoming who God has made him to be, then all you need to do is;

Leave me a comment to win a copy of this book!

This giveaway will end at 12:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday April 19.

Disclosure: Tommy Nelson graciously gave me this book for free to review. My thoughts and opinions of this book are completely my own.

Raised By A Yooper

                                                                                                                                               I was born and spent my entire childhood in a little town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The town is Escanaba, which makes its mark right along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. If one is from/living in the U.P, then you are known as a Yooper. There are many fun items with the name Yooper sketched on them, keychains, candy bars (yes), mugs, bumper stickers and my favorite…..tee shirts!

I always wanted a tee shirt with the phrase ‘Raised By A Yooper’ on it. I think its funny and well, its true, having my mom and dad also born and raised in the U.P and by Yoopers as well.

My friend John has started a tee shirt making business. And asked him to make me and another friend whom is from the U.P tee shirts with the phrase, ‘Raised By A Yooper’ and a map of the U.P on it. And, as you can see, he did! They turned out great! I love it and will represent the U.P well! Turns out its also a great conversation starter. It’s a tee shirt that is educational, meaning I give a quick geography lesson on where the U.P is, which really makes me kind of sad. Surprised by how many people do not recognize the map of the U.P, and not knowing that it is part of Michigan. And no, we are not Canadian, you know, eh!

With all that said; take a look at all the cool items that my friend does with his business. You can also follow them on twitter.  And you can “like” them on Facebook to.

Where is the Joy?

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

Most of the fruit of the Spirit comes naturally to me. I don’t have to work as hard to maintain them. But, I think they are still choices.

Love – Most of the people in my life, it’s easy to love them. Others, I choose to love them despite the hurt they have scarred on my heart.

Peace – this one is easy for me. I have always felt God’s peace upon me no matter how big or small a circumstance is.

Patience – this has kind of changed ever since our little family of four, suddenly went to a family of six!

Kindness – comes naturally. Compassion.

Goodness – resonates in my soul.

Faithfulness – sometimes I am not as faithful as I should be towards certain things.

Gentleness – when others hurt, I hurt with them.

Self-control – if I can think clearly, before I act out on my emotion; then I have better self-control.

Lastly, there is joy.

It does not come naturally for me.

I choose joy.

I want complete joy as a

mother

wife

friend

daughter

sister

Some days, it is easier to see the joy(s) in my life than other days. And I’m thankful for that. Because I also choose not to allow the unhappiness settle. I know the joy is there. I know through the power of the Holy Spirit, I can be filled.

Do any of the fruit of the Spirit come naturally for you? Or do you have to choose?
